I’ve been studying Masonry Heaters for some time and planning to use what I have learned to create a test residential sand battery for my home. I have an electrical engineering background, am a jack-of-all-trades and have easy access to all the materials I require to build this. Unfortunately my home is not conducive to a retrofit masonry heater, but I have over 4 acres of hardwoods.
If anyone has considered doing something like this I would appreciate your input.
